A Message From Jake
"Hi. Thank you for visiting our website, and for your interest in Jake's Electrical Services. Choosing the right electrician, or any other contractor, for that matter, is always a difficult decision. Often, a customer will make their selection based upon advertising campaigns and recognition of company name, neither one of which directly relates to the honesty and reliability of the technician who is dispatched to your particular project. Having been faced with similar choices while hiring contractors for my own personal needs, I can attest to the fact that very little is known about the ability of the specialist who actually performs the service. I would like to take a moment to fill in the blanks about who I am, and how I, Jake Sisneros, can help you confidently make the choice to entrust Jake's Electrical Services to fulfill your electrical requirements."
"In May of 1996 I began my electrical career as an apprentice electrician for a reputable commercial electrical contractor in Denver, CO with the ultimate goal of quickly starting up my own company. My fast-track ambitions were quickly chastened after being appointed the operator of a pick-axe and shovel on my first official day as an electrician, and instructed to use said utensils to excavate a ninety foot trench for an underground installation. I quickly realized that the nature of electrical work was diverse, and that my initial endeavor was ill-conceived. Pushing aside my entrepreneurial objective, I, instead, concentrated on simply being a well-rounded electrician and competent employee, and, being fortunate enough to learn and train under a group of highly skilled electricians, found myself quickly moving up in the ranks."
"My apprenticeship was short and sweet, as I was appointed supervisory positions on smaller projects and service calls after only a couple of years into my training. During these formidable years, I was challenged with finding balance between work and home due to the rigorous scheduling requirements of a service electrician. Faced with the demanding hours of work and my desire to limit the amount of overtime that would prevent me from spending precious time with my wife, son, and daughter, I relied on quick and efficient methods of installations and repair. I learned to utilize my time to it's fullest, and to properly plan out each and every aspect of the project. I became proficient at improvising, making use of the parts and material that I had on hand, thus preventing unnecessary and time consuming trips to the electrical supply wholesalers. The eight years that I spent troubleshooting and repairing as a service electrician was, in my opinion, the most educational phase of my career."
"Thirsting for more of a challenge, I then transferred into the construction department as a foreman. I was faced with a new set of obstacles that further improved my abilities. Strict deadlines necessitated precise planning, intricate organization, aggressive problem solving, and a thorough understanding of all aspects of the construction process, as well as familiarity with entire blueprint sets. Inspections were, in most cases, part of a critical path of the schedule, alloting very little, if any, time for reinspections. Knowledge of the National Electric Code was essential to success. I honed my supervisory skills, utilizing motivational means such as grilling hamburgers for lunch at the end of the week, and developed mutual respect amongst myself and my crew, resulting in highly productive work days. My rapport and coordination with contractors, sub-contractors, and customers became a fundamental tool to my ongoing success rate."
"Eventually, after maturing as an electrical foreman and craftsman, I began to rethink my original plan of going into business for myself and founded Jake's Electrical Services. Being naturally project-motivated, hard-working, composed under pressure, friendly, and accomodating, I believe that I've developed the attitude and ability to properly fulfill your expectations as a customer. Jake's Electrical Services, Inc. is operated by myself and my wife, Lara, a highly regarded surgery scheduler who has spent years going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that her employer's patients are well informed and that their insurance claims process is completed flawlessly. Her attention to detail is phenomenal and she has consistently received praise and appreciation for her efforts. She and I place the utmost importance on customer service, pledging to gain the trust and approval of each and every one of our customers, and we sincerely look forward to doing business with you."
Thanks,
Jake
